What services does Geniemates offer?

Geniemates provides a full range of residential and commercial cleaning services, from regular cleanings and deep cleans to move-in/move-out and post-construction cleaning. We also offer custom cleaning packages tailored to fit your unique needs.

To help us give your home the best clean possible, it’s important to keep clutter to a minimum. Cleaners need easy access to surfaces, so be sure to clear any items from floors and countertops. If you’re home when your cleaner arrives, take a moment to discuss the plan to make sure they have the space they need to work efficiently. It’s also best to keep children, pets, and other adults out of the cleaning area for safety, as vacuums and cleaning supplies will be in use. If you have any questions about preparing for your cleaning, don’t hesitate to reach out! We’re happy to help.

Important Cleaning Guidelines

Weight: For safety reasons, we have a 30lb weight limit. You can move smaller items like dining chairs and ottomans to allow us to clean underneath them. If you’d like us to clean under heavier furniture or appliances, feel free to move them, and our cleaners will happily take care of it upon request.

Height: We can use a maximum of a 2-level step stool for safety. Please note that the tops of standard kitchen cabinets are usually the highest point we can reach, and some light fixtures may be out of reach as well.

Clutter: Our cleaners will do their best to work around cluttered areas, including storage spots like under beds and on top of cabinets.

Outdoor Areas: Our cleaning equipment isn’t designed for outdoor surfaces such as patios, decks, rough concrete floors, unfinished basements, garages, or exterior windows.

Pet Mess/Bodily Fluids: We cannot clean up pet messes (like litter boxes), bodily fluids (including blood, urine, or vomit), or overflowed toilets. These require specialized cleaning methods and training beyond what residential cleaners can provide.

Mold: A small amount of pink/orange mildew or dark mold is common in some homes. Our cleaners can handle minor mold but cannot clean heavily affected areas or homes with mold infestations due to health concerns.

Bugs: We are unable to offer post-fumigation cleanings. Please ensure that any bug infestations or fumigation clean-ups are fully completed before our cleaners enter your home.

Fireplaces: We won’t clean the soot or ash inside a fireplace, as it can damage our equipment. However, we can easily clean the base in front of the fireplace.

Laundry: We do not provide laundry services, including washing, drying, or ironing.

Other Exclusions: We don’t clean inside light fixtures, unreachable light fixtures, window screens, or cloth blinds/drapes.

Items Not Included in Your Service: We won’t clean inside dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, heat registers, or anything that requires disassembly to clean, including inside or underneath your hood fan.

Absolutely! If your pet will be unattended while we’re entering or exiting your home, please make sure they’re secured or let us know if they tend to escape. It’s easier and more efficient for us to clean without your furry friends getting in the way. Thanks for your understanding!

We accept most major credit cards and E-Transfers! The day before your scheduled service, our system will place a hold on your credit card (including Visa debit). This simply reserves the funds, and no money has actually been removed or processed by your bank. You may notice the hold appearing as a deduction, but rest assured, it’s just your bank setting it aside until we complete your cleaning service. This ensures we can receive full payment. If you’re paying via E-Transfer, please make sure to send it by the day before your appointment.

You don’t need to sign a contract with us! However, we do have service terms and conditions, along with a cancellation policy for your reference.

We understand that mistakes can happen and that cleaning is sometimes subjective, but we’re committed to making things right, every time. At Geniemates, we offer a 24-hour cleaning guarantee for our valued customers. To ensure we meet your expectations, we ask that you’re available for a post-cleaning walk-through with your cleaner. This step helps us address any concerns on the spot and ensures your complete satisfaction. If you’ve done the walk-through and still have any issues, just let us know within 24 hours, and we’ll send someone back to fix it—no questions asked! Your satisfaction is our priority at Geniemates.

Absolutely! We bring all our own top-quality cleaning supplies and equipment. If you have any favorite products you’d prefer us to use, just let us know in advance and have them ready for the cleaning!

Yes! Our services are fully insured in New York and the surrounding areas, giving you peace of mind and ensuring protection for both you and our cleaning specialists.
